As the Vice President of Government and Financial Services at Marshall & Swift, Arun Baheti orchestrates activities that contribute to the company’s growth. Marshall & Swift supplies construction and cost data for residential and commercial properties, and Arun Baheti manages the division related to appraisal, taxation, and government. Prior to his work at Marshall & Swift, Arun Baheti consulted on technologies for foreign governments and businesses. Arun Baheti offered ideas and brought change to clients, showing them how technology could improve customer service. For his client companies, Arun Baheti developed systems that included budget control, hiring strategies, software implementation, and delivery options to improve their businesses. Notably, Arun Baheti provided his services to government institutions, including Germany, Spain, United Arab Emirates, Japan, and Italy and served on the White House eGovernment council. While in government, Arun Baheti championed new technologies for state services and developed a web portal where all resources could be found. Commissioned by former Governor Gray Davis, Arun Baheti launched “MyCalifornia” as Director of eGovernment. Under his management, California became one of the top five for “Digital State” rankings in a single year. Arun Baheti also improved IT operations and expanded the brand associated with the state. Arun Baheti earned several awards for his innovative work in the technology sector. Two years in a row, Arun Baheti won the Wharton School’s “Business Transformation Award” and the International Electronic Government Conference and Exposition’s “eGov Trailblazer” award. Arun Baheti graduated as a double major with degrees in Political Science and Science, Technology & Politics from Macalester College. Arun Baheti received his Juris Doctor from the University of California, Los Angeles.
